CraftMaster To Keep Va. Plant Open

A Montgomery County official says a CraftMaster plant targeted for closure will remain open. The Christiansburg plant was expected to close Dec. 31. County manager Craig Meadows tells The Roanoke Times that the plant's manager notified the county that CraftMaster parent Jeld-Wen decided to keep the plant open.

CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. (AP) -- A Montgomery County official says a CraftMaster plant targeted for closure will remain open.

The Christiansburg plant was expected to close Dec. 31.

County manager Craig Meadows tells The Roanoke Times (http://bit.ly/TvKqr7) that the plant's manager notified the county Tuesday that CraftMaster parent Jeld-Wen decided to keep the plant open.

The plant employs about 130 workers, most of whom are full time.
