Coach launched a concerted effort against businesses that counterfeit its bags in 2009, suing companies from manufacturers and wholesalers to flea market operators and landlords.

In the most recent lawsuit, which was filed in the Illinois Federal Court, Coach won 573 Internet domain names. They all include the word Coach, from which counterfeiters sold the fake bags.
