Tire Chain Maker Pewag To Open Plant In Pueblo
PUEBLO, Colorado (AP) — Economic officials say the Austrian tire chain manufacturer pewag plans to open its first North American manufacturing center in the Colorado city.
The Pueblo Chieftain newspaper reports the company will provide 55 new jobs when the facility reaches full operation.
Pewag USA President Mike Uhrenbacher says economic incentives from the city played a part in choosing to put a plant in Pueblo, along with access to the supply chain, a skilled and qualified workforce, training capabilities with Pueblo Community College, and support from the Pueblo Economic Development Corp.
A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for Sept. 28 at pewag's new property.
