Plex Online Partners With Pacejet To Provide Better Shipping

Plex Systems Inc., provider of Plex Online, Cloud ERP for manufacturers, today announced the deployment of the Pacejet multi-carrier shipping and logistics technology at Vornado Air, the industry leader in air flow technology product manufacturing.

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — Plex Systems Inc., provider of Plex Online, Cloud ERP for manufacturers, today announced the deployment of the Pacejet multi-carrier shipping and logistics technology at Vornado Air, the industry leader in air flow technology product manufacturing.

The Pacejet shipping solution enables Vornado to fully integrate with FedEx and UPS (and, soon, the U.S. Postal Service) in real-time for the shipment of products to major retailers and direct to consumers. The integrated solution provides shipping options with rate quotes, sets up a shipment pickup with the selected carrier, prints the carrier-specific shipping label and records the tracking number without the user leaving the Plex Online ERP application. This allows Vornado to efficiently manage shipments of all sizes to customers from its production facility. The solution enables the shipping department to save from 10 to 15 percent on freight costs, reduce costly returns and improve cash flow by directly billing third parties for shipping costs.

“Generating labels and managing the entire shipping process was becoming a time-consuming bottleneck that threatened our ability to grow the business,” said Vornado Air Vice President, Accounting and Controls, Patti Burns. “The integration of the Pacejet solution with Plex Online provides a seamless and easy-to-use solution that eliminated a significant challenge in our shipping process.”

“The Pacejet multi-carrier shipping technology provides an elegant solution to Plex Online users seeking simple and efficient options,” stated Plex Systems Vice President Patrick Fetterman. “It’s no longer necessary to research each carrier to find the best price, download proprietary software and print individual labels. As Vornado has shown, simplifying the shipping process allows them to save time and money and keep their focus on manufacturing the best air flow products on the market.”
