NEW YORK (AP) -- The space shuttle Enterprise is making the final leg of its journey to its new Manhattan home.
The shuttle prototype will travel up the Hudson River on a barge Wednesday, passing the Statue of Liberty and the World Trade Center site before being hoisted by crane onto the flight deck of the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum.
The U.S. space agency, NASA, ended its shuttle program last year.
The shuttle left Kennedy Airport on the barge Sunday morning. It was flown from Washington atop a 747 jet in April.
