Ford Explorer built of LEGO bricks rolls off the line in Chicago The new Ford Explorer is a head-turner, no doubt about it. But a bright red Explorer that rolled off the line at Chicago Assembly Plant this week was a little unusual – it was built from more than 380,000 LEGO bricks, weighed 2,654 pounds, and was created by 22 designers. After its debut at the plant, the LEGO Explorer began its journey to the new 150-acre LEGOLAND® Florida theme park in a trailer with transparent sides. It eventually will be featured in front of one of the park's attractions, the Ford Driving School for Children.

New England cab company adds 35 CNG Ford Transit Connect Taxis The global footprint of a New England cab company is now a bit smaller after it put 35 compressed natural gas (CNG)-powered Ford Transit Connect Taxis into service. Metro Taxi of West Haven, Conn., added the Transit Connect Taxis to its fleet as part of its efforts to reduce reliance on gasoline and greenhouse gas emissions. The cabs are the first CNG-powered Transit Connect Taxis in New England. West Haven joins a growing list of municipalities to offer CNG-powered Ford Transit Connect Taxis. Other places that have CNG versions of Transit Connect servicing passengers include Chicago, Las Vegas, St. Louis and Orange County in California.

Ford web designers said they built the easy-to-use and understand website for anyone interested in SYNC – from those shopping for a SYNC-equipped Ford car or truck who want to know more about the technology to those who already have it.
