NEW YORK (AP) -- LDK Solar completed a new production line for solar cells at its manufacturing plant in Xinyu City, China, the company said Thursday.
The Chinese solar company said installation and trial runs are finished at the plant. The line currently can produce 60 megawatts per year. LDK said it expects to double that capacity by the end of the third quarter.
LDK Solar Co. makes solar wafers and other photovoltaic products.
