DuPont Coatings Certifies Florida Extruders

DuPont Industrial Coatings Solutions, part of DuPont Performance Coatings (DPC), recently recognized Florida Extruders International, Inc. (FEI) as its first Gold and Platinum Certified Applicator for DuPont™ Alesta® AR premium architectural powder coatings.

Headquartered in Sanford, Fla. (U.S.), FEI manufactures and distributes a broad range of powder-coated, fabricated aluminum extrusions, windows, sliding glass doors, patio screen doors and ornamental aluminum fencing and gates. FEI previously had achieved DuPont StarCoater™ Certification and remains the only aluminum extruder and window manufacturer in North America to hold this status.

For a business to attain DuPont certification, a DuPont Coatings Solutions technical representative audits the business in the areas of facility maintenance, quality and consistency, business improvement practices, customer satisfaction, training and safety.

By successfully passing the DuPont certification audit — a process developed by Robert Ablamowicz, DuPont Coatings Solutions architectural segment leader, and the DuPont technical service laboratory — FEI became the first DuPont Alesta® Gold and Platinum Certified Applicator.

Now, in partnership with DuPont Coatings Solutions, FEI is positioned to increase its presence in the architectural market with a new range of high-performance powder coatings recognized by the AAMA (American Architectural Manufacturers Association).  As a DuPont Gold and Platinum applicator, FEI is certified to warranty coating applications designed to meet or exceed AAMA standards.
