DexCom Inc. said Monday Donald A. Lucas has resigned his seat on the medical device manufacturer's board of directors and audit and compensation committees.

Lucas had held a seat on the board for eight years, the company said.

DexCom did not say why Lucas resigned.

Shares fell 12 cents to $12.62 on Monday.
