Yarn Maker To Open Virginia Plant

Regitex USA LLC plans to open a manufacturing operation at an existing textile plant in Mecklenburg County, creating 60 jobs.

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- Yarn maker Regitex USA LLC plans to open a manufacturing operation at an existing textile plant in Mecklenburg County.

Gov. Bob McDonnell said Thursday that the company plans to acquire and upgrade the plant. The new operation is expected to create 60 jobs.

Regitex USA President Rick Martignetti says the company is making Virginia its home base in the United States.

Regitex USA is a subsidiary of Quebec, Canada-based Regitex Inc. The company produces yarns for the industrial, protective apparel, high-performance and home furnishing markets.
