PRINCETON, Ind. (AP) -- Toyota Motor Corp. plans to add about 100 temporary workers to its southern Indiana plant as it increases production.
Factory spokeswoman Kelly Dillon says the new production workers for the plant near Princeton will be hired in the coming weeks through its staffing agency, Aerotek.
The hiring follows Toyota's announcement this month that it would move some of its Highlander SUV production from Japan to the Princeton plant.
Dillon tells the Evansville Courier & Press that the temporary workers will be employees of the staffing agency, although they could become permanent Toyota workers if demand remains strong.
About 4,100 people now work at the Princeton factory.
