Bobcat Plans To Hire 100 Workers

Maker of skid-steer loaders says move is due to an increased demand for products and the transition of production to Gwinner, N.D., after closing its plant in Bismarck in December.

WEST FARGO, N.D. (AP) -- Bobcat Co. says it plans to add more than 100 jobs at its manufacturing plant in Gwinner.

Bobcat Americas President Rich Goldsbury says the move is due to an increased demand for products and the transition of production to Gwinner. The company closed its plant in Bismarck in December.

Bobcat recently moved a valves and cylinders operation to Wahpeton and hired 75 people.

The company is headquartered in West Fargo and makes skid-steer loaders and other light construction equipment. The additions will increase its work force to 1,700 in North Dakota.
