New Assembly Line Brings 40 Jobs To Mississippi

Grenada Stamping and Assembly is expanding its manufacturing plant and adding 40 jobs and $300,000 worth of improvements.

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) -- Grenada Stamping and Assembly is expanding its manufacturing plant and adding 40 jobs and $300,000 worth of improvements. The improvements include a new assembly line to build parts for Electrolux mini-ovens.

The expansion also includes the installation of a new air compressor and air handling system.

Grenada Stamping is a subsidiary of Ice Industries, which is headquartered in Sylvania, Ohio. The facility manufactures parts for the appliance, automotive, and heating, air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration industries.

With the expansion, the plant will employ 180 workers.
