Kraft Foods Boosting Production At Virginia Plant

Food maker is increasing production of its Capri Sun beverage at a plant in Winchester that will create 100 jobs.

WINCHESTER, Va. (AP) -- Kraft Foods Global Inc. is increasing production of its Capri Sun beverage at a plant in Winchester.

Gov. Bob McDonnell said Tuesday that the $40 million project will create 100 jobs.

The Governor's Opportunity Fund will provide a $200,000 grant to assist Frederick County with the project. A $300,000 performance-based grant will be provided by the Virginia Investment Partnership program.

Training assistance will be provided by the Virginia Department of Business Assistance through the Virginia Jobs Investment Program.
