Delphi Ends Production At Mississippi Plant

About 20 employees remain this week to ship out final production and equipment at plant that produced cable and wiring connectors for GM, Toyota and other companies.

CLINTON, Miss. (AP) -- Delphi ended production at its Clinton plant on Friday.

In September, the company, announced plans to close the facility which employed about 300.

Spokeswoman Rachelle Valdez said about 20 remain at the site this week. She says those employees will be shipping out final production and equipment at the plant that produced cable and wiring connectors for GM, Toyota and other companies.

Local production is being sent to Warren, Ohio.

Valdez tells The Clarion-Ledger that those employees are expected to complete their work in two weeks.
