NEW YORK (AP) -- Alcoa said Tuesday that its engineered products division will be realigned and that there are now two new chief operating officers.
The division, with 2009 revenue of $4.7 billion, serves the aerospace, automotive, commercial transportation, building and construction, and oil and gas markets.
Chris L. Ayers will join Alcoa from Precision Castparts Corp., where he was president of forging and special metals. He will serve as COO of the business that includes forgings and extrusions, power and propulsion, and oil and gas.
Olivier M. Jarrault will be promoted to chief operating officer of engineered products and building systems. He will lead the fastening systems, wheels and transportation products, and building and construction systems business units.
Jarrault has been president of Alcoa fastening systems since 2002.
The appointments are effective immediately.
Succeeding Jarrault as president of fastening systems is Vitaliy Rusakov, who has been general manager of operations in the fastening systems North America aerospace business.
Alcoa manufactures aluminum for aerospace, automotive, transportation and industrial markets.
