Aerospace Manufacturer Restores Work Hours

Killdeer Mountain Manufacturing, maker of electronic equipment for aerospace industry, says employees who had their hours cut are being restored to full 40-hour work weeks.

DICKINSON, N.D. (AP) -- Killdeer Mountain Manufacturing says employees who had their hours cut are being restored to full 40-hour work weeks.

The company that makes electronic equipment for the aerospace industry cut the hours of some workers at its Hettinger and Regent plants last month because of a work slowdown by one of KMM's customers.

Company vice president Kristin Hedger says KMM maintained full benefits for the employees whose hours were reduced and also transported some employees to Dickinson and Killdeer from other locations to work.

The hour cuts affected less than 10 percent of the company's work force of just under 300 people.
