Electric Car Maker Considers Indiana

Think North America says that the company is focusing its negotiations on an Indiana factory that would have 415 full-time jobs.

ELKHART, Ind. (AP) -- An electric vehicle manufacturer says it is talking about possibly starting operations in northern Indiana's Elkhart County.

Think North America spokesman Brendan Prebo tells WSBT-TV of South Bend that the company is focusing its negotiations on an Indiana site. The company said it had also been considering Oregon and Michigan.

The company is a subsidiary of Norwegian-based Think Global and estimates its new factory would have 415 full-time jobs. Prebo said representatives from the company would be meeting Tuesday with Elkhart County officials.

County Commissioner Mike Yoder said he believed state and local officials were offering an attractive package of incentives to the company.
