Coca-Cola Names Executive Vice President

World's largest beverage maker said Thursday that it appointed Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer Joseph Tripodi as executive vice president.

ATLANTA (AP) -- Coca-Cola Co.'s board said Thursday that it appointed Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer Joseph Tripodi as executive vice president.

The world's largest beverage maker made several other executive moves as well, including naming Harry Anderson as senior vice president. Anderson became head of global business and technology services last month. He has been with Coca-Cola since 2001 and previously served as controller.

Coca-Cola, whose brands include Sprite, Fanta and Minute Maid, has selected Kathy Waller to take over as its controller. Waller, who has been with the company since 1987, previously served as chief of internal audit.

Waller will be succeeded in the auditing role by Connie McDaniel. Her most recent position at the company was as head of global finance transformation.

Waller and McDaniel, who both serve as vice presidents, will take on their new duties effective Aug. 1.

Shares of Coca-Cola added 38 cents to $49.51 in afternoon trading.
