NEW YORK (AP) -- An attorney for Delphi says talks with members of President Barack Obama's automotive task force continue in hopes of reaching a deal to lift the auto supplier out of bankruptcy protection.
Delphi Corp. Attorney Jack Butler says the talks, which also include Delphi's creditors and it's former parent General Motors Corp., will continue over the Memorial Day weekend.
The Troy, Mich.-based company, which has been operating under Chapter 11 bankruptcy for more than three years, has until June 2 to come up with an exit plan.
Meanwhile, GM faces its own June 1 deadline to restructure or follow Delphi into bankruptcy protection.
Delphi returns to court on May 29.
