EAST HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) -- The Air Force awarded Pratt & Whitney a $285 million contract to maintain the engines of the new F-22 Raptor fighter jet, the United Technologies Corp. unit said Wednesday.
Pratt & Whitney will offer spare parts, labor support, fleet management and technical support for the F119 engine.
Shares of United Technology rose 23 cents to $47.29 in afternoon trading.
