Textron Gives COO Additional Role As President

Maker of Cessna jets, helicopters and golf carts said Wednesday that Chief Operating Officer Scott C. Donnelly has been appointed president in addition to his COO post.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) -- Textron Inc., which makes Cessna jets, helicopters and golf carts, said Wednesday that Chief Operating Officer Scott C. Donnelly has been appointed president in addition to his COO post.

Donnelly, 46, will continue to oversee manufacturing operations and Textron's information technology, engineering and global sourcing functions, the Providence, R.I.-company said.

He joined Textron in June 2008 after 19 years as president and chief executive of GE Aviation, a General Electric Co. business.

Donnelly takes the post from Lewis B. Campbell, chairman and CEO, who also had been president.

Textron shares fell 8 cents to $12.37 in afternoon trading.
