FREMONT, Calif. -- Elma Electronic Inc., a global manufacturer of electronic packaging products, announced Monday that it had acquired ACT/Technico of Warminster, Penn. The acquisition provides Elma with enhanced expertise in markets from telecom to medical to mil/aero and in architectures from VME to VPX and from AdvancedTCA to MicroTCA. ACT/Technico also manufactures single board computers, mass storage, networking, device drivers, PCI mezzanine cards and more.
ACT/Technico will continue to operate from its current location as a part of Elma's System Platform division, specializing in integration and board-level solutions. Elma's other product divisions include Backplanes, Enclosures & Components, Cabinet Enclosures and Rotary Switches.
