SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) -- Memory chip maker Stec Inc. on Monday said it named Raymond D. Cook as its chief financial officer effective Nov. 11.
Cook succeeds Dan Moses, who is retiring effective Nov. 10. Moses will remain with Stec for a limited time to assist with the transition. He also will continue to serve on the company's board.
Cook, 48, previously worked at Mindspeed Technologies Inc. where he had served as vice president for finance and corporate controller since 2004. He also was its interim chief financial officer in 2008, Stec said.
Stec shares closed Friday at $5.50.
