Brunswick Names Chairman For Hatteras Collection

Boat maker Brunswick Corp. said Thursday that William Naumann will come out of retirement to become chairman of its Hatteras Collection.

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) -- Boat maker Brunswick Corp. said Thursday that William Naumann will come out of retirement to become chairman of its Hatteras Collection.

Naumann retired as Hatteras Collection president in 2006 but will rejoin the business, which makes yachts and sportfishing boats, to help strengthen relationships with dealers, customers and suppliers. Naumann will also handle government and public affairs concerns.

Brunswick, which also makes exercise and bowling equipment, also appointed Vice President of Product Development James Meyer as president of the Hatteras Collection. Meyer replaces Keri Theophilus, who will join Brunswick International in an as yet undisclosed position.

Naumann and Meyer will report to Brunswick Chairman and Chief Executive Dustan McCoy. Theophilus will report to John Pfeifer, president of Brunswick Marine in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

Brunswick's stock fell 3 cents to $2.31 in afternoon trading. The stock hit a more than 20-year low of $2.18 earlier in the session.
