TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- Boeing Co.'s Machinist union will vote Saturday on a tentative four-year contract and approval would be good news for a Tulsa plant.
Spirit AeroSystems Inc. builds wing and fuselage components for nearly every Boeing commercial aircraft.
Since the machinists went on strike eight weeks ago, most of the 1,800 engineers, mechanics and assemblers in Tulsa have been working 24-hour weeks.
Spirit director of administration Joe Jarrett says though he can't estimate when the company will return to full production.
Boeing spokesman Tim Healy says company and union officials will meet soon to set a schedule for Boeing workers to return to their jobs if the contract is ratified.
