HERSHEY, Pa. (AP) -- Hershey Co. said late Tuesday it has elected a former vice chairman of Pfizer, David Shedlarz, to its board on Aug. 29.
Shedlarz was a member of the executive leadership team and vice chairman of the pharmaceutical company until 2007, when he retired. He first joined Pfizer in 1976 and served in various roles, including that of chief financial officer.
He is also on the board of trustees of TIAA and the board of Pitney Bowes Inc., as well as serving as a trustee of the International Accounting Standards Committee Foundation.
Shares rose 3 cents to $36.79 in midday trading Wednesday.
