COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- Authorities say automotive seating supplier Lear Corp. plans to expand its Spartanburg County plant and add 140 jobs.
The Michigan-based company that makes seats and electric parts announced Wednesday that it plans to spend $10.8 million on the expansion.
Plans include building a new plant in Greer to increase production of automotive seats. About 240 people work at Lear's plant in Duncan, which supplies seats to nearby BMW.
