Briggs & Stratton Names Teske COO

Engine maker said Wednesday that its board of directors elected Todd J. Teske as the company's president and chief operating officer.

MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Engine maker Briggs & Stratton Corp. said Wednesday that its board of directors elected Todd J. Teske as the company's president and chief operating officer.

Teske, who is 43 years old, has been president of the company's power products group. Current president John Shiely will retain his role as chairman and chief executive of the Milwaukee-based company.

Briggs & Stratton shares fell 29 cents, or 1.9 percent, to $14.70 in trading Wednesday. Its shares fell 50 cents, or 3.4 percent, to $14.20 in after-hours trading.
