Greeting Card Company Cutting Jobs In Indiana

Sunrise Greetings will close its manufacturing operations in Bloomington by early next year, eliminating about 60 jobs.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) -- A greeting card company says it will close its manufacturing operations in Bloomington by early next year.

Sunrise Greetings personnel manager Amy Slaughter said Wednesday the company will cut about 60 manufacturing and management jobs. When the job cuts are complete, the company will have about 160 employees.

Slaughter said the company would begin working with employees to either find them other positions within Sunrise or help them find positions outside the company.

Sunrise Greetings is a subsidiary of Kansas City, Mo.,-based Hallmark Cards Inc.
