The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers said that passenger vehicle sales rose 10.8 percent and sales of commercial vehicles rose 20.9 percent.

Total vehicle sales in China, the world's second-biggest auto market after the United States, were 922,600 units for the month, said the group, which is authorized by the government to announce market data.
