Japan Auto Parts Supplier To Build Plant In Mississippi

Auto components manufacturer will locate a plant in Senatobia, Miss., to supply parts to both the Nissan plant in Madison and the new Toyota plant near Tupelo.

SENATOBIA, Miss. (AP) -- A Japan-based automobile components manufacturer will locate a plant in Senatobia to supply parts to both the Nissan plant in Madison and the new Toyota plant near Tupelo.
 
Officials said Monday that construction on the PK USA plant will begin in late August or early September on a 25-acre site in the Senatobia Industrial Park.
 
Eiji Umabayashi, president and chief executive officer, said the plant could eventually employ up to 150 workers.
 
The company, based in Kawasaki, Japan, has 6,000 employees worldwide, with plants in Japan, China, Europe and the United States.
