Toyota Supplier Bringing Jobs To Mississippi

About 120 jobs will be created at $19 million plant to build interior and exterior plastic automotive components for a Toyota auto manufacturing plant that's set to open in 2010.

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) â€” Another supplier is moving to north Mississippi to build parts for a Toyota auto manufacturing plant that's set to open near Blue Springs in 2010.
 
Governor Haley Barbour said Monday that Toyoda Gosei (Go-say) will invest about $19 million in a Batesville plant to build interior and exterior plastic automotive components. The supplier will be about 70 miles from the Toyota plant.
 
Toyoda Gosei plans to employ 120 and have sales of $31 million by 2010. The 103,300-square-foot facility will be on 14 acres near Interstate 55.
 
Takashi Matsuura, president of Toyoda Gosei, said state and local economic development officials offered incentives, including worker training.
