Schwan Food CEO To Leave Immediately

Frozen food purveyor said President and Chief Executive Lenny Pippin will leave the company immediately; no reason given for his departure.

MARSHALL, Minn. (AP) — Frozen food purveyor The Schwan Food Company said Thursday President and Chief Executive Lenny Pippin will leave the company immediately.
 
The company did not give a reason for Pippin's departure.
 
The company said Greg Flack will become the interim leader of the multibillion-dollar, privately held frozen foods company.
 
Flack is also president of the company's Global Consumer brands. He joined Schwan in 1987 as a national food service marketing manager and rose through the ranks.
 
Pippin came to Schwan Food in November 1999, becoming one of the few outsiders to run the company in its 50-year history.
 
The Marshall-based company is know for its gold delivery trucks carrying the image of a swan and its popular Red Baron, Tony's and Freschetta brand pizzas.
 
KMHL-AM first reported on the departure early Thursday.
