PURCHASE, N.Y. (AP) — Soft drink maker PepsiCo Inc. and its bottler PepsiAmericas Inc. said Tuesday they bought the remaining 20 percent interest in a Ukrainian-based juice company for $136.7 million.
In August, the two companies paid $542 million for an 80 percent stake in Sandora, and said they would buy the rest of the company in November.
The acquisition was made through a joint venture between the two companies. PepsiAmericas holds a 60 percent interest in the venture and PepsiCo owns a 40 percent stake.
PepsiCo shares rose 31 cents to $73.07 in morning trading. PepsiAmericas shares fell $1.31, or 3.8 percent, to $33.02.
