PepsiCo Gets Lucky

Beverage giant agrees to buy Brazilian snack company Comercio de Doces Lucky Ltda.; deal must still be approved by Brazil's competition authority.

PURCHASE, N.Y. (AP) — Soft drink giant PepsiCo Inc. said Tuesday it has agreed to buy Brazilian snack company Comercio de Doces Lucky Ltda.
 
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
 
PepsiCo said the deal includes all of Lucky's snack brands, including the popular Torcida and Fofura brands, as well as its call centers and two manufacturing plants.
 
The deal must still be approved by Brazil's competition authority CADE.
