DOVER, Del. (AP) — Battery company Energizer Holdings has completed its nearly 2 billion dollar purchase of Playtex, but no production changes are planned at the Playtex Products plant in Dover.
Energizer spokeswoman Jacqueline Burwitz says Energizer might relocate or eliminate a few office jobs, but she says no decisions have been reached.
The plant on Saulsbury Road has operated for 70 years and makes tampons and infant-feeding products. More than 700 people work there.
The purchase was announced in July and approved by Playtex shareholders last week.
