Aerospace Supplier Gets Armed Forces Contract

Two-year, $162 million manufacturing deal with the Defense Supply Center includes storage containers, shelters and accessories for the armed forces and select federal civilian agencies.

WOOD DALE, Ill. (AP) — Aerospace supplier AAR Corp. said Wednesday it received a two-year, $162 million contract to make specialized shipping and storage containers, shelters and accessories for the armed forces and select federal civilian agencies.
 
AAR's Cadillac, Mich.-based mobility systems division will manufacture the products.
 
The contract has three optional renewal years and was awarded by the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, a unit of the Defense Logistics Agency.
