Flowserve Sells Plant To Swiss Weka AG

Pumps, seals and valves producer transferred the plant and its 23 employees to cut down redundant production.

DALLAS (AP) - Flowserve Corp., which makes pumps, seals and valves, said Thursday it agreed to sell its small production plant in Switzerland to Weka AG, a Swiss maker of cryogenic components.

Flowserve said the move will eliminate redundant production of several products.

Weka assumed ownership of the plant on July 2, and all 23 employees at the site were transferred to Weka AG.

Financial terms were undisclosed. As part of the deal, Flowserve will also sell Battig and EPSY, two product lines made at the plant that are a small part of the Flowserve valve business.
