ATHENS, Greece (AP) - Coca-Cola HBC has agreed to buy a Russian production plant for $261 million, the company said Thursday.

CCHBC said the purchase of Aquavision, a newly constructed facility near Moscow, would be funded by a combination of cash and short-term debt, and is subject to regulatory approval.

Athens-based CCHBC is the world's second-largest Coke bottler outside the U.S. It has operations in 28 countries with a customer base of more than 540 million people.

The company said the Russian plant can produce a full range of nonalcoholic beverages, including bottled water and sports drinks.
