FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) - Craft beer manufacturer New Belgium Brewing Co. said Tuesday a set to open this week will double its bottling capacity.
The 55,000-square-foot plant will produce up to 850,000 barrels of beer a year, and will have the capability of filling and capping 700 bottles a minute. The facility also has a number of energy-saving tools including skylights, a system for reusing water and an efficient heating-cooling system.
Based in Fort Collins, New Belgium is one of the largest craft brewing companies in the United States.
