Raytheon Partners With Tata Power

Companies sign an agreement for collaboration in India.

Raytheon Co. said Thursday that it has signed a memorandum of intent with Tata Power Strategic Electronics Division (SED) for collaboration.

“While Raytheon has conducted business in India for many years, we are now looking to develop our relationship and presence here in a more meaningful way over the long term,” said Wes Motooka, vice president for international business development at Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems.

Motooka believes that the electronics division of Tata will be a “good fit” for Raytheon.

Rahul Chaudhry, CEO of Tata Power SED, added that the collaboration with Raytheon would allow the company to “leverage the offset and other business opportunities, thus enabling us to serve our customers better.”
