3M Acquiring Chemence's Industrial Adhesives Product Line
Rite-Lok product line will expand 3M's presence in specialty structural adhesives market.
3M announced Thursday its acquisition of the Rite-Lok global industrial adhesives product line from Chemence Inc., a specialty chemical company that produces adhesives.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
The acquisition will expand 3M's presence in the specialty structural adhesives market, according to Patrick Deconinck, division vice president, Industrial Adhesives and Tapes Division at 3M.
The Rite-Lok product line includes anaerobic threadlockers, retaining compounds, gasket makers, thread sealants, structural adhesives, and specialty cyanoacrylate instant adhesives for industrial use such as metal bonding, plastics and rubber.
Chemence has manufacturing facilities in Alpharetta, Ga. and Corby, England.
