Autodesk Donates $17 Million To Help Future Engineers

Company donating $17 million in software and training to help participants of the 2007 FIRST Robotics Competition.

Software company Autodesk Inc. said Tuesday that it will donate $17 million in software and training resources to For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST) and the students who are taking part in the 2007 FIRST Robotics Competition.

Over 1,300 student teams from seven countries will build robots and compete in 37 regional competitions. The winners will advance to the championship, which will be held April 12-14 in Atlanta ,Georgia.

Autodesk will provide software to help the students design their robots.
