Illinois Tool Works Inc. (ITW) announced Monday that it has acquired Ark-Les Corp., a producer of electronic and electromechanical controls and switches. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Ark-Les Corp., headquartered in Stoughton, Mass., will be a wholly owned subsidiary of ITW and part of the company’s existing Global Appliance Group which consists of several operating units in the U.S., Mexico, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, India, China, Brazil and Australia.
ITW is a $12.8 billion manufacturer of components and industrial systems and consumables. The company consists of approximately 700 business units in 48 countries and employs about 50,000 people.
