The two-day conference focuses on Lean manufacturing practices and features talks by industry lean leaders and educational workshops. The event concludes with an award ceremony recognizing the 2009 Shingo Prize Medallion recipients from the Northeast Region which is comprised of eleven states, from Maryland to Maine. This year's theme, "Everybody, Everyday: Creating a Culture of Total Employee Involvement" reflects the belief that Lean manufacturing is critical in today's global economy and that the most critical success factor when implementing Lean is getting all employees....from the CEO to the front line employees....thinking about continuous improvement everyday.
