Deacom Inc. recently announced that D.G. Yuengling & Son Inc., America’s oldest brewery, has licensed its DEACOM enterprise resource planning (ERP) software system to integrate its three facilities, with functionality including accounting, sales order management, regulatory reporting, purchasing, production scheduling, inventory, order entry and retail point of sale.
Founded in 1829, Yuengling is a brewer of lager, pilsner, porter and ale. They are one of the largest American owned breweries by volume in the United States, producing more than 2 million barrels of beer last year.
The privately held company previously had an UNIX-based software system, utilized numerous spreadsheets, and had a separate sales analysis system to handle its business processes and distribution across 13 states. This combination of systems lacked the integration and functionality essential to helping Yuengling effectively expand its distribution network and increase production.

In addition, we needed the ability to work within one system of shared data that would give us greater control and enhanced reporting capabilities.
