Curtiss-Wright Acquires Valve Systems And Controls

ROSELAND, N.J. - Curtiss-Wright Corp. announced Friday its acquisition of Valve Systems and Controls (VSC) of Houston, Texas, for about $75 million.
VSC provides critical valve, automation, and controls solutions for flow control operations to the oil and gas market. The business will become part of Curtiss-Wright's Flow Control segment.
The acquisition of VSC will help Curtiss-Wright to grow its presence in the turnkey coker system market to the oil and gas industry, according to Curtiss-Wright Chairman and CEO, Martin R. Benante.
VSC’s sales in 2007 are projected to be about $60 million.
Curtiss-Wright manufactures products for motion control and flow control applications, and provides a variety of metal treatment services. It employs about 6,200 people globally.
