The Boeing Co. has announced plans to invest $100 million and bring more than 300 jobs to an airplane maintenance facility it will build in an Oklahoma industrial park.

The Boeing Co. has announced plans to invest $100 million and bring more than 300 jobs to an airplane maintenance facility it will build in an Oklahoma industrial park. The plans call for the construction of three hangars at the Oklahoma Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Technology Center in Midwest City, OK, east of Oklahoma City, which will be used to update and modify AWACS planes for the Air Force. The facility is located next to Tinker Air Force Base. A Boeing spokesperson told the Daily Oklahoman that the company could hire as many as 325 people when in full production. Construction of the hangars and an access roadway for the airplanes is expected to begin in March and be completed by November.
