Komatsu Ltd. and Mistubishi Heavy Industries Recall Faulty Equipment

Komatsu Ltd. will recall 108 shovel loaders (WA380-5) produced between Oct. 2001 and Nov. 2003, and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. will recall 207 forklifts manufactured between Jan. 2005 and July 2005, the two companies said today.

Komatsu Ltd. will recall 108 shovel loaders (WA380-5) produced between Oct. 2001 and Nov. 2003, and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. will recall 207 forklifts manufactured between Jan. 2005 and July 2005, the two companies said today.

The joint of the shovel loader's power driver unit features a shape that can cause it to break and might also hurt the braking power, according to a report submitted by Komatsu to the transport ministry.
